For the last show of our season, in a theme in honor of Treefort, Story Story Night is laying down MiX TAPE: Stories of the Soundtracks of Our Lives, on March 31. For this one, we're doing things a little differently.
We're looking for musicians and music-philes with a beat in their story step. Maybe you are a musician who wrote a song after experiencing something mental. Tell the story, then play the song. Maybe you have a story begging for a DJ to provide a soundtrack under it. We can do totally make that work.
If you want to really jam, story-style, this is your theme. Just get in touch with any and all ideas.
What's Your Story? (Find out in 3 answers.)
1: What happened? (Tell us the surprising moment in your story, and briefly how it all led to that point.)
2: The take-away. (What did it all mean to you in the end?)
3. The mix tape component. (How would you work in the mix tape element with a song, soundtrack or other idea.)
3: Your contact info. (Pretty essential.)
No sweat, right?

Story Story Night spins off at Storyfort
A new sub-fort of Treefort is coming to the Sequishop during the entirety of the music fest. It's Storyfort, a landing pad for readers, writers, thinkers, poets, and word/story addicts in general.
Story Story Night is playing a part in some sweet-sounding ways.
Every day from 1 to 2 pm, we'll have a RECORDING BOOTH, open to anyone who wants to sidle up and talk through a story into our old school mic.
On Thursday, Mar. 20 from 2 to 2:30 pm, we'll hold a MiX TAPE PREVIEW with stories from our own Emma Arnold and Jessica Holmes, backed by DJ Stardust Lounge.
On Sunday, Mar. 23 from 2:30 to 4 pm, we'll host a MiX TAPE STORY SLAM, open to the public to tell true 5-minute stories on the theme, live on stage and without notes, backed by DJ Stardust Lounge.
It's all great practice for our big-time MiX TAPE SHOW, our tribute theme to Treefort, held the following week, on Monday, Mar. 31.
