What do all those great quotes say? “Success is never final, failure is never fatal. It’s courage that counts.” (John Wooden) “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.” (Henry Ford) “Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself.” (Charlie Chaplin)
Pffffffffffffffftttttttt. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Because in that hot-faced moment of shame — when you realize that your best (or haphazardly) laid plans have flopped and fallen flat — screw those guys. Humiliation and painful realizations are never easy. But they are funny. And so human. And face it, a big FAiL makes for a great story. You know you have one.
Redeem yourself, and find a reason it all happened in the first place, by recounting the FAiL again on stage. So enter NOW to be a featured storyteller for June 25’s FAiL: Stories of Mistakes and Misfires. The deadline for entry has been extended to Friday, June 8. Super easy, all you need to do is email your story to story@storystorynight.com. Learn all about the big benefits and details behind being a featured storyteller.
Seriously, the featured experience is so amazing. You’ll see that all those great quotes have real truth in them after all.
When you find yourself doubting if you can do it, just ask Ms. Teen USA South Carolina (wait, don’t ask her…anything). Or gain wisdom from these misguided marriage proposals. Or just soak up the unwitting wonder of this foreign fail/masterpiece at American pop culture.
We'll see you on stage.
