The story behind Story Story.
Story Story Night is a live storytelling program that provides a forum for our community to come together to share real experiences, live on stage and without notes. Each Story Story Night centers on a theme and follows the same format, with featured storytellers followed by a story slam.
Story Story Night was collaboratively created by Jessica Holmes and Hollis Welsh (then at Alley Repertory Theater), Clay Morgan at The Boise State Story Initiative and Paul Shaffer (then at The Cabin). We came together in late 2009 to develop a public venue and outlet for people in our community to share real-life experiences, explore the power and possibility of story, and reflect on the common human threads that unite us all.
Story Story Night is partnering with Boise State Public Radio to record the evening. Standout stories have the potential to appear on our podcast.
Story Story Night is inspired by The Moth.
