Story Story Night goes for a SPiN, March 28

facebook event headers-04(BOiSE, iDAHO)  On March 28, it’s time to spin some epic yarns at (in a) SPiN (your wheels), the penultimate show of our flagship season at our new all-ages venue in downtown Boise, JUMP (Pioneer Room).

Highlighting true stories on a theme—told live on stage & without notes—from three featured storytellers intermixed with an open story slam, this show’s so good it’ll make your head spin. In the open slam, we play our version of SPiN the bottle, with names randomly drawn from a vessel to tell 5-minute stories on the theme.

Now on the last Tuesday of every month—this is where the action is—hosted by artistic director & most stellar master of ceremonies, Jodi Eichelberger. Featured musician DJ Independent Grocer will be spinning vinyl all night long.

Here’s a quick spin through our featured stories:

» Glida Bothwell goes into a tail-SPiN at the Mountain Home Air Force Base Officer’s Club during the Vietnam War.

» A kiss sends Rocky Wing‘s career SPiNning out of control.

» Brandon Whallon prepares to SPiN his wheels on a 400 mile off-road bike trip through Idaho.

Tickets ($12) are online in advance, or at the door (if still available) on the NiGHT in question. Doors open at 6 pm & the show starts at 7 pm. Beer, wine & appetizers will be served. This season is rated PG-13.

This dynamic season plays on the ways we get out and go for it in the state we’re in. Come along for the joy/thrill ride. The last show of the season—and our 7th b-day bash—is on April 28 with the theme (take a) HiKE (up).

As a spin off, Story Story Night’s also hosting a corresponding workshop series for JUMP (Inspire Room). Check out our Studios»
